I don't know about you, but I am seeing these hats EVERYWHERE at the moment. I didn't really like them until I saw a 'Made in Chelsea' episode where Louise de Courcey-Thompson wore a beautiful chestnut fur cossack.
I know that these hats originate from the Cossack fur/sheepskin hats worn in the winter months in Russia and they have certainly caught on in the rest of Europe.
Are they the new trend for Winter? Or do they just look ridiculous. I could probably argue for both sides but as I am now the proud owner of a black Cossack purchased off of eBay, the furry phenomenon has definitely reached me! (Faux fur of course!)
Ivory 'Cossak' from Accessorize for £22
Currently £16 at ASOS (Updated for Winter 2012)
I own a black Cossack from eBay (£7), but I will invest in another one from Harrods soon. They also make excellent pillows ;)
So what do you think? Are Cossack fur hats trendy or just a bit weird?
Let me know!
