Turquoise Stone Nail Art

A note from Joelle...

I was looking for beauty tips on Lauren Conrad's The Beauty Department as came across this great nail art tutorial. I like the fact that you only need two nail polishes and hardly any fancy nail art equipment.
Also, as a complete geology nerd, I couldn't pass up the opportunity to have a rock inspired nail art, could I? Turquoise is a semi-precious gemstone that gave the colour 'turquoise' it's name. It sometime has these cute golden veins running through it, which is captured into this nail tutorial/
I used a bluey/gold polish and a gold polish from H&M (both £2.99)
1) Paint on the blue polish a base coat and then leave to dry. I then used the ELF matte finisher to reduce the shine of the polish.

2) Grab a piece of plastic or some cotton wool and dab on some of the gold polish.

Then gently dab on the gold onto each nail and then leave to dry. Go over the edges of your fingernails with a cotton bud and polish remover to get rid of messy bits. Et voilà!
*Apologies for the fuzzy photos - my camera didn't want to focus today!
