Style File: Chloe Moretz

A note from Joelle...
I LOVE this girl's style! If you have not heard of Chloe Moretz, she is a teen actress from the States and was in 'Kickass' with Aaron Johnson.
In my opinion, I have to admit that Chloe did have quite a frumpy style when she first started to appear on red carpets and other events a few years back. I think it was just the girly 'prom' cocktail dresses that only emphasised her youth and just looked a bit plain.
But now...

As you can see, Chloe is not afraid of her busy prints and pulls them off so well! She still manages to look youthful and elegant with all these busy prints and looks amazing doing so.

What do you think of her style? Let me know below! :)

Earring Cuffs: YAY or NAY?

A note from Joelle...

OK, I am really obsessed with earring  cuffs at the moment. I bought one before my birthday after seeing a girl in one of my classes wearing one. I searched all over the internet to find out what they were called ( I thought they were called earring chains/necklaces!!) and then bought a brand new one from eBay.
I have seen many variations of earring cuffs: some that just curl around your ear (no piercing necessary)  and than
You can just make out my cuff on my left ear!
Please ignore my awful face in this photo!
My cuff has a 'peace' sign at the stud and then a simple chain and cuff at the top top my ear.
My cuff is from eBay

'So where can I get one?', I hear you ask. Have a look below at a varied selection of cuff that I have found on the  Topshop UK website! :)
Feather Tassel Ear Cuff
Topshop  -£8.50
Spike Drape Ear Cuff

Baking Bliss #2: Oreo Truffles!

A note from Joelle...
Despite my incapability to look graceful whilst baking, I found this amazing recipe a while back and wanted to try it out before I made it for some of my music classmates on Friday!
Follow this step-by-step recipe to make these delicious treats!

Ingredients and equipment:
2 tubs of cream cheese (low-fat works as well)
A packet of Oreo cookies
A bar of cooking chocolate (any flavour you want - I used milk)
Vanilla extract
Mixing bowl
Wooden spoon
Cling film
Baking tray
  1. Blitz the Oreos in a blender into a fine power

2. Mix the cream cheese in a bowl with a spoon

3. Add the Oreo powder to the cream cheese and mix until a paste is formed

4. Add a dash of vanilla extract to the mix

5. Line a baking tray with cling film

6. Scoop up a small pieces and roll it (by hand) into cute little balls

7. Continue this process and line up the truffle balls on the cling film and store in fridge of about 30 mins

8. Melt the bar of cooking chocolate in a bowl ( I microwaved it to save time!)

9. Dip each truffle into the melted chocolate one at a time, making sure to get and equal coating on all the truffle balls

10. Once all truffles are coated, put them back in the fridge for about 1 hour to fully harden on the outside. After that, take them out et voilà!

They taste AMAZING!! What do you think? Will you be trying out this recipe? Let me know below!! :)

E.L.F Haul!!

A note from Joelle...
Hey Guys,
This is my first ever haul and I have bought so many beautiful products from ELF that I would like to share with y'all. If you have not hear of ELF, WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN??????????? It is (in my opinion) the best bargain online beauty store ever created and their range of products are endless. The majority of the products are £1.50<<< I did not make that up!!
I wasn't really into much online shopping before I found ELF (I prefer to try out make up in person to make sure that the shades/feel of the product is right) but I ELF sample colours on the site were pretty much spot-on, so I had no fear!
So, I purchased many products in two lots and here are some pics of what I bought :)

Liquid lipstick
Diamanté travel mirror
Shine eraser sheets
moisturising lip tint

Eyelash and eyebrow wand
Nourishing cuticle pen
Make-up Mist and Set spray

Matte top coat, glitter glam, nude, smoky brown, red velvet, metal madness
Gun metal shimmer eyeliner pencil
So what do you think of elf? Have you used any of their products?
