Microdermabrasion Treatment With Sk:n Clinics

A note from Joelle...
***Sponsored post, real review!
I didn't necessarily want 'younger looking skin' (hey, I am only 19!), but at uni I felt that my skin needed a bit of ooomph after my exams! My complexion wasn't it's normal self and it had lost it's radiance and smoothness. So what did I do? I booked a Microdermabrasion treatment after picking up a leaflet on the high street.
'A Microderma-what?', I hear you ask? Well, let me explain...
It is a deep exfoliation treatment that makes fresh collagen and skill cells using tiny, tiny crystals that rotate and remove the top layer of dead skin. The dead skin cells are vacuumed up into the machine and the skin is left nourished, refined and more radiant. It can treat acne scars, wrinkles, dry skin, stretch marks, etc.
My plan was to get the treatment on my hands first, and then if the results were good I would book to get my face done. But then I just decided to go straight for the face as that was stressing me out the most. I will admit that as soon as I booked the appointment, I regretted it - not because the treatment looked bad, but because I have really sensitive skin. I mean, if someone accidentally bumps into me or pats me on the back, it can sting for hours! It was the 'abrasion' bit that worried me the most because I imagined my face being scared by a coarse sandpaper-machine-thing. I WAS WRONG!
The treatment was painless, although it was a bit uncomfortable at first (darn sensitive skin!) when the crystals went to work. I got two rounds of the treatment with the Sk:n cleanser in-between passes. After the treatment, I saw a difference in my skin texture and it wasn't sore or itchy! My usually massive pores got smaller over time and that was the best bit about it.
I really do recommend this treatment as it does produce great results. I recommend it for women 18+ years, as younger skin is still changing and growing! If you are interested, click the links below!
