I  love a bargain and you probably do to. So when I found out about this site, I just had to spread the word!
I was a wee bit sceptical about the quality of the of the items if they are all at this price, but some other bloggers who had bought regularly from this store reassured me that it's all good and genuine!
I am looking forward to ordering a few bits and bobs as the shoes and purses look really great.
Here are my favourite shoes from the Just For 5 Pounds store!

Topshop £2.50 Jewellery

A note from Joelle...
I just wanted to show you  my necklace I picked up from Topshop. It's not really a place I go to get accessories or jewellery but I honestly could not resist the huge section of pieces which were all £2.50!
I just bought this amazing gold geometric necklace only as I wanted to use the rest of my change on frozen yoghurt (typical me choosing food over anything!). But I'll be back to get some more ASAP!
I'm really into gold jewellery and also chunky chains! What do you think?

Style File #17: AnnaSophia Robb

A note from Joelle...
AnnaSophia is one of my favourite actresses right now. The 20 year-old is currently starring as the young Carrie Bradshaw in 'Sex And The City' prequel, 'The Carrie Diaries', which is an amazing show, with even more amazing fashion! If you haven't seen series 1 or bit of searies 2, where have you been!

When taking a break from filming, AnnaSophia tends to mix up her style a lot and often opts for striking blues, monochromes or stripes. She keeps her makeup toned down and also partial to the odd wetsuit as she's a keen surfer!
What are your thoughts on her style?

All The Leaves Are Brown And The Sky Is Grey

A note from Joelle...

♫ ♪ 'California Dreaming' - Mamas and Papas  ♫ ♪

This season, for me, is all about big, woolly, oversized jumpers and as many other layers you can squeeze on without looking obese. I bought this amazing jumper from River Island last week and I bought it 2 sizes too big on purpose so that it's extra comfy and long enough to hang below my waist.
I don't know how it is for you, but here in Aberdeen, it's bloody freezing, and it's going to get colder in the next few weeks, so I guess all these thick clothes are investment pieces!
Jumper - River Island
Studded Beret - Dorothy Perkins
Scarf -  New Look
Leggings - Primark
Boots - Foot Factory
Bag - La Moda

There's not enough love for leather leggings these days, but I understand why. The fear of the dreaded camel-toe and it looking too skin-tight are the main ones. But I wear thermal leggings underneath to keep me nice and warm and also a long top/jumper to cover the top half of the leggings - simples!

Have a great weekend!

The Grumpy Mole

A note from Joelle...

♫ ♪ 'Taste It' - Jake Bugg ♫ ♪

After a fun outing in the Surrey woodland doing a bit of archery and orienteering, we needed to recharge our batteries and find a good place for a bit of comfort food. So we dragged our muddy, soggy bodies to a lovely pub tucked away behind a busy road.
I'll let the pictures do the talking in this post, I think!
My sister went for this steak and Guinness pie with veg
My Uncle went for the 'steak on the stone', which is served rare and you cook it yourself on the heated slab! (wowzers!)
I went for the scampi, chips and peas. Not very pub-y, but I love seafood!
The pub is really cosy with this open fire blazing away. The Christmas decorations are also up and it's a great 'warm' feeling. The staff are lovely and friendly too.

With our tummies full and our feet now dry, we sauntered back to the car and it was smiles all round.
If you are ever in the Tadworth, Surrey area, check it out!

11 Blogging Myths: BUSTED

A note from Joelle...

♫ ♪ Lost Generation - Rizzle Kicks ♫ ♪

I hear tonnes and tonnes of blogging bullsh*t everyday, so I thought I should put the record straight for some blogging sceptics or new bloggers who are feeling a bit worried. Obviously, I am not an expert, but I do know a bit about blogging, encouragement and common sense, so let's get started!
  1. The blogging community is over saturated. There's no point of starting one - If you think it's saturated then fine, don't start blogging. But you're missing out!
  2. Blogging is for vain teenagers - Actually these days, most people start their blogs as adults from 19-25. Yes, there are some vain people out there but if they want to express themselves through blogging, let them! We don't have to read it.
  3. I need a fancy DSLR camera to be a good blogger - False, false, FALSE. Use what you've got to the best of it's (and your) ability. If you take a few minutes to read your camera manual, you might find awesome lighting technique or buttons you didn't know existed!
  4. It's rude if I don't respond to every single comment on my blog - No it's not. Although it can be nice for the person that commented, it's not vital to to reply to every single one. Sometimes you just can't find the time to do this on every post. Some bloggers are really ridiculed over this, which is not fair. There are only so many 'thanks' comments you can leave after every 'great post' comment. And surely, people should not be just leaving comments just to get a reply? They should leave a comment because they were interested in the content of the article! With that said, totally ignoring all comments left on your blog is a big no-no. You need to make your your readers are being respected too.
  5. Blogging is more than posing in front of a camera - YES! It's actually very difficult to run your own website, then promote it and come up with more original content. But it's fun, that's why it's so popular these days.
  6. Blogging is overhyped and will get less popular in a few years - (Web)Blogging has been around since the late 90s and has it died down almost 20 years later? Nein! I have a feeling blogging will be around for a long, long time, but will evolve along with technology. We need to accept this and embrace it, as it is giving anyone with a keyboard and a brain, a virtual voice.
  7. Blogging success means having thousands of followers and page views - To some, 'success' is defined by big numbers, but that's not all it is. Meeting a little blog goal or even gaining a new follower is classed as success too! Don't let the stats consume you.
  8. I have to learn about SEO to make my blog bigger - Search Engine Optimisation techniques can be handy, but it's super confusing so don't feel bad if you don't fully understand it. If you are interested, there are lots of self-help guides that are FREE online. My advice is to not pay for an SEO service unless you are 100% sure it's not a scam and that you know what they will be doing to your blog.
  9. Great content is the only way to make your blog a success - This is also false, surprisingly. Unfortunately it's a mean world out there and great content doesn't always get found straight away. You NEED to promote your blog in order for readers to come, they won't always come to you first. Now, this doesn't mean spamming links across Twitter and Facebook all day. It means using relevant tags and hashtags and also posting at a prime time where more relevant readers might be online.
  10. Only fashion and beauty bloggers get attention - These two are very popular blog genres, therefore there is an increasing interest in them as well as coverage  But did you know that there are lots of incredible video bloggers (YouTubers), craft, lifestyle, technology, politics, art, food, fitness, travel, relationship, business, music, film, etc bloggers too? The list is endless and there is something for everyone.
  11. 'It's too late to start blogging. I'll never catch up to everyone else's standards.' It's NEVER too late to start writing and getting creative. That is the beauty of blogging! If you want your own space on the web to showcase your thoughts, go for it! There's no such thing as 'everyone else'!

To make the toffee sauce, add in the butter, sugar, golden syrup and double cream into a pan and cook until thick and bubbly. Do not let it boil!

Pour the apple into a pie dish, then add the apples, toffee sauce and crumble topping. Bake for 30-40 mins and then serve warm with ice cream, cream or extra sauce! ***Warning! The toffee sauce is excruciatingly hot! Wait a good 20 mins before serving!

Royal purple is just one of those colours that goes so well with black and metallics!
The back detail is so pretty too! And cut-out panelling is really on-trend for Autumn/Winter, so Warehouse have it spot on!
