Life right now is going at such a fast pace and it's easy to get caught up in the frantic flurries that life whisks you straight into without your consent.
But sometimes, when the madness calms down, you're able to look at your situation and realise that it's not all doom-and-gloom (as we usually think it is).
Sure, we might not be where we really want to be right now...(I see myself chilling on a Caribbean beach,
being fed grapes on an instagrammable vine by the exotic scuba instructor) but that doesn't mean that we have nothing going for us!
So this morning, I had a little think about what's been going on in my life - not much, as it's mainly uni work 24/7. But then I looked deeper at the cool things that had happened that I let slip completely under the radar, as I didn't think they were worth
tweeting about celebrating.
My Little Victories:
My health has improved dramatically now that I have less dairy and drink more water
The weather's been great in Aberdeen the past few weeks and the flash snow storms are kind of cute
I'm keeping on top of my emails - which is a BIG deal!
This blog will have it's 700th post go live this month
Microsoft Word FINALLY recognises the spelling of my name after 15 years of struggle...
I wee article I created will be published on the Company Magazine website
The preparations for my birthday ball are coming along nicely
I aced a job interview and got a new little uni job!
I showed my sister that Aberdeen isn't just a grey, cold city!
So there you have it. None of these things probably mean a lot in the real world, but I'm happy about all of them and they have genuinely made me feel a wee bit better!
Got any little victories you'd like to share? :)
