Soup, GLORIOUS! Soup!

A note from Joelle...
GLORIOUS! Soup!
Autumn's rolling in and all the warming comfort food is coming with it (YAY!).
When it's miserable outside, there's one thing (no, not Netflix) that is proven to make us feel nice and cosy... Soup!
Now, this time last year, I hated soup.
Liquid veg just wasn't for me at all!
But when I went to live in the Isle of Skye this summer, something clicked and now I can't get enough of it!
Anything with tomatoes, mushrooms, potato, rice, coconut, garlic is a winner for me and I'm glad I'm eating hearty, healthy meals! At this time of the year, it's so easy to fall into bad habits and order a takeaway.
So when GLORIOUS! SkinnyLicious got in touch and wanted me to try out their new soup range, I was more than happy to give it a go.
I went to the shops with the vouchers they kindly gifted me with, and here's what I bought.

The general concept around the soups are pretty cool. They are all super healthy and are inspired by the team's travels around the world. So They've not everything from Italy and Morocco, to Thailand and West Africa.
You guys know I like value for money. So that's why I like the generous pots that are filled to the brim! They are not stingy on the vegetable/meat chunks either (YAY!).

My ultimate favourites:
Heart Of West Africa - As a West African, I was a bit sceptical about how this would taste. I am so used to my Mum's exceptional soups, so I wasn't expecting this one to be nice, to be honest. Was I wrong? Yup! It's bloomin' delicious and could have it weekly and not get bored of it.

Moroccan Spiced Chicken - Now this has chickpeas it it, which I thought I hated. Turns out, they are delicious in this soup (who would have thought?). There were generous chunks of chicken, which is rare in shop-bought soups and I didn't have to add many additional seasoning to it once it was cooked.

Because of how much I've been eating and experimenting with soups, I've called this month SOUPtember (see what they did there?) so now's the perfect time to try out new flavour combinations and stay healthy during the colder months!
GLORIOUS! Soup

I've also found that they go really well with my Homemade Baked Potato Chips (fries), so it's double the deliciousness!

Psst! Soups are currently £1.50 instead of £2.20 in Sainsbury's! Woohoo!

Season's eatings!
