Viva la Vita!

A note from Joelle...
It's no secret that I love Vita Coco coconut water. Other than the water straight from the coconut itself, it's the only type I drink.
When London Fashion Week comes around, a part of me is excited for the shows. But an even bigger part of me gets rather giddy when there's Vita Coco under my seat.

Obviously Vita Coco water is delicious, but I didn't know it contained more potassium than a banana and was packed with electrolytes. You learn something new everyday!

I did a post last year called Smoothie Queen, where I shared my favourite smoothie recipes and this Vita Coco played a bit part. A year on, they've been kind enough to send me over some samples (YAY!), but this time I'm going to make their recommended recipes. So here it goes!
Very Berry
Vita Coco water, fresh blueberries, raspberries and chopped up, frozen banana
Freezing the banana overnight and blending it up makes the smoothie nice and refreshing, without ice watering it down! It also makes it thicker and frothy when blended for a few minutes.

Healthy Mango Lassi
Frozen banana, coconut water, overripe mango,a pinch of  cardamom, fresh passion fruit and a splash of soya milk.
This drink isn't filled with the normal sugars and fats you'd usually find in a mango lassi. But it's just as sweet, thick and chilled, as I used overripe fruit, soya milk and frozen fruit!

Pink Velvet
Frozen raspberries, fresh strawberries, Vita coconut water, frozen blueberries, 1 fresh peach
This juice is naturally smooth and sweet! The peach works really well with the berries.
In all the recipes, make sure to chill the Vita Coco water for the best flavour!
Let me know if you try any of these! :)
